I’ve been wearing dentures for a lot of years. My jawbone has changed and now they don’t fit. Is there a way I can fix my jawbone to wear my dentures again?

Everett,
You’re facing what is known as facial collapse. When you have your teeth extracted, your body begins to reabsorb the material needed for your jawbone. There is a procedure you can have done. It is called bone grafting. You can have new jawbone placed. Then you’ll be able to get your new dentures. However, you’ll have the same problem after a certain number of years.
If you want to prevent facial collapse, I recommend you get dental implants instead of dentures. They’re slightly more expensive, but they are much more comfortable than dentures. You’ll also find you’ll be able to chew much better.
