Laser Gum Disease Treatment

Before lasers, we treated periodontal (gum) disease by treating the affected tooth. We did above and below the gum line scaling and root planing.
It was somewhat effective, but the real problem was still doing damage, still ruining teeth and gums.

We now know that the major cause of gum disease is the 'BIOFILM' that forms under the gum, next to the tooth. This biofilm can cause a raging infection to develop with no outward signs in the beginning stages.

The laser seeks out vaporizes the infected gums. The gum tissue does grow back once the infected material is removed.

There is virtually no discomfort for the patient. Gone are the days of scraping and pulling at resistant plaque and tartar. The laser is very patient-friendly and the job it does eliminates the need for surgery. One or two visits are all that is needed.

At Advanced Cosmetic & Laser Dentistry, patient comfort comes first. Our laser-qualified hygienist is here for your comfort.

If your gums bleed, or your breath is fetid or you need a really good, deep state-of-the-art teeth cleaning, Advanced Cosmetic & Laser Dentistry is your first choice.
