I had a tooth extraction a few weeks ago. Since then there has been a sharp piece of bone that has been bothering me. My dentist has filed it down a little. However, he said he doesn’t want to remove any more than is necessary. Will this ever feel normal?

Daniel,
It is pretty common to have a sharp piece of bone after an extraction. Your body will smooth it out over time. Your dentist is trying to preserve as much bone structure as possible. This way if you want to replace your tooth with dental implants there will be enough bone to support it.
