One of my front teeth has gotten knocked out and I wondered what the best way to replace it would be. Can you advise me?
Jennifer R. from Arizona
Jennifer,
There are two good ways to replace a missing tooth: a dental implant and a dental bridge. The advantage to a dental implant is it doesn’t affect the teeth on either side of the implant. You just place an implant and then put a crown on it. Some clinics, like Dr. McKay’s have a teeth by tonight program.
Your second option is a dental bridge. This option doesn’t require an implant be placed, but you would have to shave down both the adjacent teeth. This is a good option if you need work on either of the adjacent teeth anyway.
