I had some bone grafting done and then an implant. That seemed to go great. When I went back in to get the crown, it felt funny. Now it is a few days later and my implant feels loose. I spoke to my doctor about it and he said it was fine. When I told him I didn’t think it was, he is sending me to an endodontist. That doesn’t sound right to me.

Mary Ellen,
Your gut feeling is right. An endodontist is not what you need to see. I would go to a dental implant specialist. Because your implant is loose I am concerned that maybe your grafting wasn’t done properly. Whatever the problem, the good news is it can be fixed. However, you want to go to an implant dentist with a lot of expertise.
There are a couple of useful implant organizations that can help you: The International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Board of Oral Implantology. Find out which dentists they recommend from your area.
